The battle was fierce since the very start. However in the first game, Greysia/Apriyani had to lose 15-21. The thrill was real in the second set where they fight a battle for points. Luckily, the Indonesian pair could win the setting duel, 25-23.
In the ultimate third set, Greysia/Apriyani played with more self-confidence. As a result, Greysia/Apriyani won over the Korean pair, 21-14.
"We stepped on to the pitch with no pressure at all, we relied on our bravery. It turned out we were losing mentally. We didn't want to just give up in the second game, and praise Lord we won it," Greysia said.
"It was exhausting since it was not easy to beat them. Our key was to control the ball since the wind was hard to handle," said Apriyani.
In the second round tomorrow, Thursday (15/6), Greysia/Apriyani will take on another Korean pair who is also the third seeded, Chang Ye Na/Lee So Hee.
"As for tomorrow, we keep our mind relax because we need to concentrate in each match," Greysia ended.
