Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong Defeat Defending Champion

JAKARTA – World’s #1 men’s doubles pair, Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong, from Korea succeeded in defeating their compatriot, Kho Sung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol, in the quarter final of the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2016, Friday night (3/5).

Kho/Shin are the defending champions of the US$900 thousand dollar tournament as at the 2015 BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier  2015 they ended on the highest podium after defeating China’s pair, Fu Haifeng/Zhang Nan 21-16 16-21 21-19.

Last night, Lee/Yoo succeeded in winning a match against the defending champions in a two set match, 21-12 and 21-16. Admitted by the both players that taking on Kho/Shin, they scarcely found difficulty.

"We weren’t too much troubled since we know their weaknesses, we practice together,” Lee Yong Dae said.

In the semifinal held today, Saturday (4/5), Lee/Yoo will take on Danish pair, Kim Astrup/Andrers Skaarup Rasmussen.
