Korea has secured a ticket to the semi-finals of BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017 through their men's singles player, Son Wan Ho.

He qualified for the quarterfinal after stunning China’s Chou Tien Chen in the quarter-finals on Friday (16/6) in a two straight game match, 21-15 and 21-17. This is the seventh victory for Son over Chou.

"I am satisfied with the match. It was very tight in the beginning of the first game because I felt a bit unfocused. But in the second game, I tried to focus more and finally I am happy to win," said Son.

"Here (at JCC), the wind blows pretty strong, but I've played few times so I start to adapting well," he continued, commenting on playing at JCC.

The second seeded, Son, will take on India's Srikanth Kidambi in the semi-final tomorrow, Saturday (17/6). They have met six times and Son was able to win four of them.

"I'm ready to fight anyone in the semi-final. And of course, I will remain focused playing the match tomorrow, and I hope I can win," said Son.
